If you would like to read public domain classics on a computer, kindle, or like device, but still enjoy the appearance of print, go to the library of University of Adelaide https://ebooks.adelaide.edu.au/. A really nice selections of classics have been uploaded, complete with illustrations.

If you can’t find what you are looking for there then go to Project Gutenberg, with over 60,000 free books, you’re sure to find something interesting to read http://www.gutenberg.org

You can also go to Open Library, there you will find thousands more books to borrow.  This is a digital library and it works in a similar manner as a public library. It is free, you must sign up to get access to the books, each book can only be borrowed by a single user at a time, and there is a limit to the time that you may hold the book. Books are automatically digitally returned to the library after 2 weeks (ie. you lose access and must borrow the book again or, if you haven’t quite finished, go on the wait list).  Go to https://openlibrary.org/ to sign up.
